It looks like an update really is coming this Friday!
News of the new content has been posted on the official PSU website. Friday's update will contain several new lobbies, the Parum rare mission, a new free mission for Parum (SEED Express), and a level cap increase (to LV150).
Most notably, though, Sega will be adding the Parum GBR and extra difficulty levels for the missions that go with it. Other than SEED Express, which will be getting the S2 difficulty immediately, three existing missions will be seeing S2 upgrades: Scarred Planet, Lightning Beasts, and Electronic Brain.
Overall, I'd say this is a nice update -- and it's about time we got new content. After all, it's been nearly two months since the last meaningful "update" to the NA/EU servers. Hopefully we'll start seeing content updates on a more regular basis.
